“This SteriPEN is a great device! We use it every day for all our drinking water-that amounts to a minimum of 8 uses at 16 oz. of water each use for 1 gallon/day. It finally refused to work anymore-sending a solid red signal with the bulb not lighting upon being placed in water. It’s the fail-safe mechanism (for water safety) as described in the user’s manual. We’ve owned it for about two years. The math shows well over 5,000 uses (the claimed “wall” for flashes).” “I don’t fully trust our bottled water (untreated, high mountain, spring water).
